Tim Wanyonyi, a Westlands Member of Parliament, has promised to improve the status of Nairobi County’s roads if elected governor in next year’s general election.

Mr Wanyonyi, who announced his candidacy for Nairobi Governor on Sunday at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC), claimed that most city roadways lack ramps, making it difficult for individuals with disabilities to access various parts of the city.

“People with disabilities account for a large percentage of the population in Nairobi County. Because of the lack of ramps, people with disabilities have difficulty accessing various offices,” Mr Wanyonyi explained.

He also promised to enhance the state of health centers and ensure that individuals with disabilities are given top priority.

Mr Wanyonyi, on the other hand, has stated that he will put a stop to the feud between street hawkers and county inspectorate officers known as ‘Kanjo.’

“This will be a method to help Kenyans who own small businesses.” They have been mistreated and mishandled for a long time. He stated, “This has to come to a stop.”
